2018 Comptroller Methods and Assistance Program (MAP) Results

The Property Tax Code Section 5.102 requires the Comptroller of Public Accounts to review each appraisal district’s governance, taxpayer assistance, operation procedures and appraisal standards, procedures and methodology at least once every two years.  The Comptroller’s Property Tax Assistance Division (PTAD) performs Methods and Assistance Program (MAP) reviews of approximately half of all the appraisal districts each year.

The Van Zandt County Appraisal District underwent its biennial MAP review during the 2018 year.  We are extremely proud to report that the District received a perfect 100% score on all items tested.  You can view the final reports for each year the District has been tested on the District’s website here:  https://vzcad.org/methods-and-assistance-program-review/

Additional information and copies of each year’s report for all appraisal districts can be found on the Comptroller’s website here:  https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/property-tax/map/index.php
