Per the Governor’s Executive Order GA-29, all customers are required to wear a face mask inside of a public space when not able to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person. For this reason it is required that a face mask be worn during in-person ARB hearings and highly recommended that customers wear a face mask inside our main lobby.
COVID-19 RESPONSE STATUS: Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff and the citizens of Van Zandt County. To reduce the spread of COVID19, we have LIMITED CUSTOMER TRAFFIC TO OUR MAIN LOBBY ONLY. Customers are able to make payments, drop off forms, and interact with staff through our collection counter windows. Due to these social distancing limitations, you will need to make an appointment to meet with an appraiser. Please be assured our full team is working onsite to assist you. Although we are open to limited in-person traffic, we still encourage everyone to communicate remotely when possible (e.g. phone, online, email, mail, and drop box). If for any reason you are unable to contact us by phone, please send us an email so that we can have a record of your inquiry. We will diligently work to provide you a prompt response, but during this time of increased appeal volume and limited in-person contact, we may experience some delays. We apologize for any inconvenience, and greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
2020 Appraisal Review Board (ARB) Hearings: All hearings will be conducted remotely by telephone or written affidavit where possible. Property owners who have requested to appear in-person for their ARB hearing are scheduled to appear on July 16th, July 28th, and August 6th. Property owners and agents appearing in-person before the ARB are required to wear a mask inside the hearing room in accordance with the Governor’s executive order.
